Applying to FIND

FIND has a discernment period each year for prospective students.  Discernment consists of three parts:

  • An application is completed, and three letters of support from the candidate's spiritual community are received;

  • The candidate has two interviews with faculty members; and,

  • The candidate attends a discernment retreat with several faculty and others who are in discernment for the class. The discernment retreat is at Camp Allen near Navasota, Texas. For 2022, it will be July 29-30, and the cost is $100 for overnight with supper, breakfast and lunch and all materials for the event. The retreat must be attended in person.

Classes are held in person at Middleway Urban Monastery, 309 N. Tabor Ave., Bryan, Tx. and online via Zoom.

Discernment is mutual in that both the director and faculty of the school and the candidate seek God's will in whether the person is being called to this ministry.
