What We Do

FIND - School for Formation and Direction offers two tracks of study:

  • spiritual direction, and

  • spiritual formation.

What's the difference?
A spiritual director tends to work one-on-one or with a specific group of people toward their individual relationship with Jesus. A director may companion another individual for years along their spiritual walk or may work with a person for a shorter period, such as through a time of discernment for a life issue. A director may also work in ministries that help people experience new ways of relating to God through workshops, quiet days, and other educational events in a congregation or with any group.

A spiritual formation leader also works in ministries that help people experience new ways of relating to God through workshops, quiet days, and other educational events but does not guide individuals through one-on-one direction.

If either of these roles resonate with you, then FIND would be of value to you.

FIND accommodates busy people. Classes meet one Saturday a month, September through May, for three years. A year-end retreat in June includes graduation of the third-year students.

Classes are a combination of in person at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Bryan, Tx and online via Zoom.
